Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic polyester resin composition having low- temperature toughness and hydrolysis resistance.
SOLUTION: This thermoplastic polyester resin composition is characterized by comprising 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic copolyester containing (a) 80-99.5 mol% of terephthalic acid or its ester-forming derivative, (b) 0.5-20 mol% of a dimer acid or its ester-forming derivative and (c) 40-90 wt.% of 1,4-butanediol and (d) 10-60 wt.% of a polytetramethylene glycol having 400-3,000 average molecular weight and 0.1-5 pts.wt. of a carbodiimide compound.
