PURPOSE: To obtain the subject immobilized enzyme useful for producing a medicine as a catalyst for oxidative deamination, by incubating a solution of D-amino acid oxidase with porous beads comprising a vinyl acylate and/or vinyl alcohol and a cross-linking agent.
CONSTITUTION: A solution of D-amino acid oxidase is incubated with a porous bead shaped support which is made of a cross-linked copolymer comprising a vinyl acylate and/or vinyl alcohol and 1-60 wt.% based on a polymer of a cross-linking agent of formula I (R1 and R2 are each vinyl, allyl, etc.; A is a 2-8C bifunctional hydrocarbon) and/or formula II (X is an acyloxy, etc.; B is a 1-8C bifunctional hydrocarbon) in the state of the acyloxy group of the vinyl acylate in the form as it is or partially or wholly hydrolyzed and has 20-800 μm average particle diameter and 2-10,000 average particle diameter to give the objective immobilized enzyme composed of the support coated with the enzyme.
