Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact absorbing structure which can absorb energy by stably inducing progressive crushing even if an orientation of an input load is inclined to an axial direction, and an automobile.SOLUTION: An impact absorbing structure 11 comprises: a cylindrical small-diameter part 7 which is composed of a composite material having a plurality of layers in a radial direction; a cylindrical large-diameter part 8 which is arranged continuously to one end 7a of the small-diameter part in an axial direction, is formed larger in a cross section area formed of a vertical face in the axial direction than the small-diameter part, has a step face 9 at one or both of an inside diameter side and an outside diameter side rather than the small-diameter part in a portion continuing to the small-diameter part, and is composed of a composite material; and a trigger part which is arranged at the other end 8b side located at a side reverse to one end 8a continuing to the small-diameter part out of the large-diameter part, and induces inter-layer crushing.
