Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the trim reinforcing member of pillar interfering with occupants in a front and a rear seat to mitigate impact in response to that of the respective occupants even in a vehicle having plural seats provided in front and in the rear, and having the occupants seated therein.
SOLUTION: A trim reinforcing member 70 is made out of hard synthetic resin, and is formed of a main body part 71 extended vertically, an upper front and rear extension part 72 extended in the longitudinal direction at the upper end of the main body part, and of a lower front and rear extension part extended in the longitudinal direction at the lower end of the main body. An energy absorbing part 76 having plural ribs continued vertically, is formed in the main body part 71, and an impact energy absorbing member 74 is mounted to the upper and rear extension part 72 at its outward side.
