To attain a thick shape without any shrinkage in a wing-shaped blade part by involving a plurality of wing-shaped blades around a hub, jointing the whole body of a hub to the inside of a blade by means of a hollow structure for forming a non-foamed part, and filling the hollow part of the non-foamed part with resin foam for forming a foamed part.
This impeller 1 for a blower is formed by attaching a plurality of wing-shaped blades 3 onto the circumference of a circular-shaped hub 2 with a motor shaft fixed to a boss 4 in the center. In manufacturing the impeller 1, the whole body of the hub 2 and the inside of the blades 3 are jointed by means of a hollow structure to form a non-foamed part 101 and the hollow part thereof is filled with resin foam to form a foamed part 102. The non- foamed part is formed out of any one of the synthetic resin materials of polypropylene resin, styrene-acrylonitrile resin, acrylonitrile-ethylene-propylene- diene-styrene resin, and acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylic acid-ester resin.
