Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve propulsion efficiency without enlarging a device by extending the front end edges in the rotating direction of vanes in the nearly radial direction from the axis of an impeller shaft, and forming front end edge outer periphery sections tilted backward in the rotating direction on the front view and continued to the outer peripheral edges of the vanes at the outer peripheral end sections.
SOLUTION: This impeller 1 is formed with three vanes 3, 3a, 3b around a boss section 2, and the vanes 3, 3a, 3b are partially overlapped together in the peripheral direction. The rotating direction front end edge 31 of the vane 3 is extended nearly in the radial direction, and a front end edge outer periphery section 4 is formed at its outer periphery end section. The front end edge outer periphery section 4 is curved backward in the rotating direction on the front view and continued to the outer peripheral edge 32 of the vane 3 at the outer peripheral end section of the front end edge 31. The outer peripheral edge 32 faces the inner face of the main body of a water jet propeller at a slight gap. The rotating direction rear end section of the vane 3 is gradually made thin, and a rear end edge 33 extended in the radial direction is formed.
