Abstract:
The invention relates to an induction sealing system for heat sealing packaging material for producing sealed packages of pourable food products, said sealing system comprising: a sealing jaw (15) comprising at least one inductor device (20, 21) which interact with said packaging material by means of at least one active surface (25, 26); at least one flux-concentrating insert (30); a supporting body (24) comprising heat-conducting material and housing said inductor device (20, 21) and said flux-concentrating insert (30); and an interactive surface (31) for pressing against said package material; and a counter-jaw (16) comprising at least one pressure pad (52) made of elastomeric material, said pressure pad (52) being arranged to present a counter pressure to the sealing jaw (15), wherein said pressure pad (52) has an arched convex contact area (53) with height in the direction towards the sealing jaw (15).
