Abstract:

To diminish scattered light in a photopolymerizable material, to suppress undesirable polymn. caused by scattered light and to improve the quality and resolution of a finally developed image formed by irradiating the photopolymerizable material with light.

An effective amt. of an inhibitor selected from among an N-oxyl or nitroxide compd., quinone methide, a nitroso compd., carbinoxyl, phenothiazine, hydroquinone and phenol is added to a photopolymerizable material so that scattered light is diminished or polymn. under scattered light is prevented or suppressed and the polymn. of the material directly irradiated with light is not inhibited. Image quality is improved by using the resultant photopolymerizable material.
