Abstract:
To form a cloud of air-fuel mixture of appropriate ratio and size in a combustion chamber having a fixed volume piston cavity according to an operation condition of an engine.
Momentum per unit time of spraying injected from a fuel injection valve 11 installed on an upper part of the combustion chamber 4 is varied according to engine loading. Consequently, the cloud of air-fuel mixture of appropriate ratio and size can be formed in the combustion chamber 4.
