Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of identifying the risk of a battery cell failure or short.SOLUTION: A system 100 for battery monitoring is configured to inject a test signal from a transmitter 130 into a battery 140, and receive a response signal from the battery by a receiver 150. Response signal(s) comprises at least one reflected signal. The method further involves comparing, with a processor 110, the response signal(s) with a baseline signal to produce a comparison signal. In addition, the method involves detecting, with the processor 110, at least one anomaly within the battery by using the comparison signal(s). Further, the method involves determining, with the processor 110, a location of at least one anomaly within the battery by using the comparison signal(s).
