Abstract:
PURPOSE: To minimize damage to be inflicted by an impact at the time of cutting the front end and rear end defective parts of a narrow veneer of random size without deterioration of the ease of operation and productivity of a machine.
CONSTITUTION: In a sized cutting device 16 for cutting the front end and the rear end of a defective part of a narrow veneer 12, of a veneer side stripping machine 10, the speed of a blade 16A is designed so that the free selection of the blade can be made using a control device 32. Thus the speed is selectively set in accordance with the thickness and material of the narrow veneer 12 by the speed setting device 32B of the control device 32.
