Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-tunnel fire-extinguishing system which enables fire fighting and prevention of damage to an interior wall of a tunnel by a flame and heat in case of fire in the tunnel.
SOLUTION: This in-tunnel fire-extinguishing system, which is provided with not only equipment for extinguishing a fire in the tunnel but also a fire-resisting wall for covering the interior wall of the tunnel, emits a jet of water to the interior wall of the tunnel and the fire-resisting plate so as to cool them in case of the fire. Thus, the interior wall of the tunnel is effectively prevented from being damaged by the flame and the heat.
