Title:
METHOD OF ADJUSTING OPENING/CLOSING FUNCTION OF CHECK VALVE PROVIDED IN FLOW PATH ON CENTRIFUGAL ROTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3686388
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for allowing an operation for changing the directivity of a flow path by adjusting a check valve provided in the flow path on a rotor during the rotation of the rotor, in the case of a device continuously operable and allowing a specimen to be transferred t another container on the rotor while preventing the specimen from being polluted without touching the liquid specimen in a container on the centrifugal rotor or other various installations on the rotor.
SOLUTION: While the rotation of the rotor R is rotating, compressed air is pressedly introduced into the check valve V provided in the flow path FW. A spherical body 5b of the valve V is moved from a position allowing a checking function to be held to the other position, thereby changing the behavior of the valve to cause the prevention function to be lost, and gas passage is allowed in both forward and backward directions. Thereafter, the rotation number of the rotor R is changed to change the direction of the resultant of centrifugal force and gravitational force exerted on the spherical body 5b moved to the other position in the flow path Pv4 provided in the valve V, and the spherical body 5b is returned to its original position, thereby recovering the prevention function of the valve V.
