Title:
IN-VEHICLE EQUIPMENT REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM, PORTABLE MACHINE USED IN THE SYSTEM AND MAGNETIC FIELD GENERATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3879664
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vehicle equipment remote control system, a portable machine used in the system, and a magnetic field generator for obtaining a function of the portable machine transmitting an identification signal according to an occupant's will without installing a mechanical operation switch on the surface of the machine.
SOLUTION: A portable machine 22 carried by a vehicle occupant is provided with magnetic resistance elements 62 to 66 changing in resistance values depending on the intensity of a magnetic field when the magnetic field is applied thereto. A door outer mirror for a vehicle is provided with a permanent magnet generating a magnetic field applied to the portable machine 22. When magnetic fields not less than designated values are applied to the magnetic resistance elements 62, 66, a code signal including a code representing a lock request or an unlock request for the vehicle door and an ID identification code is transmitted to a in-board machine 20 by the portable machine 22. When the vehicle occupant brings the portable machine 22 close to a permanent magnet set in the vehicle, the vehicle door is locked and unlocked according to the vehicle occupant's will.
