PURPOSE: To accomplish a guide indication for a service elevator including time factors until the cage reaches a waiting passenger at the hall in a indicator for the elevator scheduled for preceding arrival at each hall in group control of plural elevators.

CONSTITUTION: A lantern at each floor is provided with a distance-frequency conversion circuit 1 comprising a distance setting volume control VR, a differentiate amplifier DFA, an absolute value amplifier ABA and a UJT oscillator. As the other input of the DFA, a voltage proportional to the floor position of the elevator is applied from contactors MU1 and MU2 on the mobile side of a selector FS of each elevator through a diode D1 while a divided voltage of resistances R8 to R12 is done through contactors F1 to F5 of FS. As an elevator approaches the floor set by the volume control VR, the voltage V4 increase gradually and the oscillation frequency of the UJT generator grows large. The corresponding increase in the flash frequency of the lantern allows indication on how the elevator approaches.
