Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield type receptacle electric connector assembly for an IC card provided with an internal circuit board and a conductive cover generally winding this circuit board.
SOLUTION: A plurality of terminals are mounted in a housing 28, to be engaged with a circuit pad 46 of a circuit board 16. A conductive shield 50 mounted in the housing 28 is provided with a shield tail part 56 engaged with an earth circuit pad 58 of the circuit board 16, down-facing staircase-shaped lip 60 extended along a trailing edge of the shield 50 to be separated in a vertical direction from a leading edge part of a cover, mounting part 64 protruded from both ends of the staircase-shaped lip 60 in a height separated in a vertical direction from the cover for firmly mounting the shield 50 in the housing 28, and at least one mounting finger 72 protruded to the front of the shield 50 toward a hole formed in a front mounting flange 74 of the housing 28.
