To provide an induction heating melting furnace for manufacturing an alloy at an accurate rate of composition with good melting efficiency while reducing sculls as un-melted portions.
The induction heating melting furnace 10 comprises a melting furnace body 12 having a side wall vertically formed by arranging a plurality of conductive segments 16 insulated from each other in the circumferential direction for storing molten metal 130 adapted to be cooled, and an induction heating coil 14 arranged on the outer periphery side of the side wall for induction heating the molten metal 130 stored in the melting furnace body 12. Herein, a first power supply and a second power supply are provided which has a frequency of 1 kHz or higher for melting the molten metal 130 and which has a frequency lower than the first power supply when supplying power but permeable to coagulations 132 formed sticking to an inner peripheral face 16a of the side wall, respectively. The power of the first power supply for melting the molten metal 130 and the power of the second power supply are superimposed to be supplied to the induction heating coil 14.
