PURPOSE: To provide a cooking apparatus which is safe, economical and easy to use, by disposing an induction heating unit at the front, a conduction heating unit at the back, and a controlling unit under the induction heating unit.

CONSTITUTION: A conduction heating unit 2 is disposed at the back and an induction heating unit 3 supplied with high-frequency current from a high-frequency power source 5 is disposed at the front. Further, a control unit 6 for controlling the conduction heating unit 2, induction heating unit 3 and high-frequency heating unit 5 is disposed at a lower portion. By employing such an arrangement in which an induction heating unit is disposed at the front section which may be accidentally touched by the user, it is enabled to make the most of the merit that the temperature rise of a top plate 1 at the section where the induction heating unit is located is small. Further, by disposing the control unit 6 at a lower portion, it is enabled to obtain a cooking apparatus economical and easy to use.
