To reduce the cost of the conventional product and to impart magnetism thereto by improving the corrosion resistance, cold workability and toughness of ferritic stainless steel wire rod, reducing surface flaws and producing the same by a general-purpose production process same for an austenitic stainless steel product.
The ferritic stainless steel wire rod has a composition comprising, by mass, 0.003 to 0.04% C, 0.05 to 1.0% Si, 0.05 to 0.5% Mn, ≤0.04% P, ≤0.005% S, 10.5 to 18.0% Cr, ≤0.010% O and 0.003 to 0.04% N, further comprising one or more kinds of 0.1 to 0.8% Nb and 0.01 to 0.5% Ti, further comprising one or more kinds of ≤0.1% Al and 0.03 to 1.0% V, and also satisfying [Al]×[N]≤0.0020, [V]×[N]≤0.016, [O]+[S]≤0.010%, and [Mn]+[Cr]+[Si]≤20%.
