Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquisition apparatus, an information acquisition method, and an information acquisition program that is able to set a depth of suppressing a decrease in image quality of a virtual viewpoint image.SOLUTION: An information acquisition apparatus acquires information for an image composition process that generates a virtual viewpoint image by treating, as plural input images, images captured by plural imaging devices installed around a region including a predetermined position, and that composes the plural input images on the basis of a depth set with respect to a virtual viewpoint, with the predetermined position used as the virtual viewpoint. The information acquisition apparatus includes: a detection unit detects an object as a photographic target from each input image; an object specifying unit that specifies plural main objects from among the detected objects; and a depth acquisition unit that acquires plural depths to be set, on the basis of distances between the plural main objects and the virtual viewpoint, with respect to imaging surfaces of the imaging devices or partial areas of the imaging surfaces of the imaging devices, which correspond to the plural main objects.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
