Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make enlargeable a margin for cross erase and cross talk by positioning a light beam at an information track, detecting a deviation of the center of the information track and a scanning position of the light beam, connecting an obtained track correction signal to a tracking servo circuit, and correcting the scanning position of the light beam.
SOLUTION: A track center detector 50 is constituted to add a push-pull signal to a tracking servo system and is controlled by turning on/off a switch 40 in accordance with a command from an MPU 70. The switch 40 is turned on at the time of recording to prevent an increase of cross erase, and is turned on at the time of recording with a verification to reduce a reproduction margin by a radial tilt, thereby severely executing the verification. On the other hand, the switch is turned off at the time of reproduction to enlarge the reproduction margin. When the recording and reproduction are repeated, the switch is fundamentally turned on to prevent the cross erase from increasing, and is turned off when a reproduction error is generated.
