Abstract:
PURPOSE:To efficiently record information by modulating data for modulation added with a first bit pattern at the rearmost end of information data, and recording the data after removing a second bit pattern added finally from a modulated code string. CONSTITUTION:The information data of N-bytes inputted to an input terminal 1 is taken serially in a shift register 2. The information data of the register 2 is inputted to a 2-7 modulator 5 one bit by one bit through a switch 4 at the timing of a start signal 3. After an end detection circuit 6 detects that the last one bit from the register was detected, it changes the switch 4 to a ROM 7 side, and a postamble PA stored in the ROM 7 is inputted to the modulator 5. The modulator 5 turns it into a 2-7 modulated code string, and supplies it to a storage circuit 10 through the switch 8, and simultaneously, it outputs one piece of a pulse to a counter 9 every time it outputs one channel bit. After the counter 9 counts this pulse up to (NX16-1)-pieces, it opens the switch 8.
