Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information distribution system, capable of efficiently distributing information matched to the desire of each user without having to perform troublesome operations.
SOLUTION: This information distribution system Z1 consists of portable terminals 2, base stations 1 and a server. The server 3 connects a plurality of base stations 1 through a dedicated communication line 4, etc. The stations 1 use an ISM band and respectively have a radio communication area with a radius of about 50 m. A portable terminal 2 detects that the terminal 2 has entered within the area of a base station 1 and transmits an characteristic identification ID to the base station 1. The station 1 recognized the terminal 2 on the basis of the received identification ID and simultaneously transmits information to each portable terminal within the radio communication area, according to a distribution schedule organized, on the basis of the favorite information (e.g. information preset in the server 3) of the recognized portable terminal or its owner.
