Title:
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING ATMOSPHERIC TEMPERATURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3964095
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately measure a temperature with a small increase in quantity of arithmetic operations.
SOLUTION: A data rate of a receiving signal after A/D converted is decreased for an electric wave reflected by an atmospheric turbulent flow or a sound wave plane. A Doppler velocity of an echo of the atmospheric turbulent flow is calculated on the basis of the receiving signal having the data rate decreased. Meanwhile, the receiving signal after A/D converted is frequency converted thereby decreasing the data rate. A Doppler velocity of an echo of the sound wave plane is calculated on the basis of the frequency converted receiving signal having the data rate decreased, and is corrected for an amount by the frequency conversion. A sound velocity in the atmosphere is calculated on the basis of the calculated Doppler velocity of the echo of the atmospheric turbulent flow and the corrected Doppler velocity of the echo of the sound wave plane. The atmospheric temperature is obtained from the sound velocity.
