PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus which uses a specific pattern for authentication in touch operation, while ensuring security, so as to facilitate user operation.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes: a touch panel 301 for receiving an input on the basis of a touch operation input from an input panel; a formal authentication information registration table which stores an input pattern input by touch operation as formal authentication information; a simple authentication information registration table which stores a part of the registered formal authentication information, as simple authentication information; an input pattern determination unit 306 for determining whether the input pattern received by the touch panel 301 coincides with the formal authentication information or the simple authentication information; and an authentication processing unit 305 which determines an authentication success when the input pattern determination unit 306 determines coincidence.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
