Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance convenience for the user by starting up a device to be started from a device at the place where the user is visiting, without using any special hardware.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes a reception unit, a search unit, and a proxy transmission request unit. The reception unit receives a start-up request for a specific device connected with a second network, from a request device connected with a first network. The search unit searches for a device that has been started up among a plurality of devices connected with the second network, on the basis of the device state information indicating the state of each of the plurality of devices. The proxy transmission request unit requests transmission of the start-up request for the specific device, for the retrieved device that has been started up.
