Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform different authentication processing for each of multiple user interfaces while providing unified user authentication for the user interfaces.SOLUTION: An information processing device available through a plurality of user interfaces and a method for controlling the same are provided. The information processing device comprises: a plurality of authentication processing units that perform user authentication for each of the plurality of user interfaces; an authentication setting unit that holds setting information for authentication processing to be performed by each of the plurality of authentication processing units; a common authentication processing unit that performs user authentication common to the plurality of user interfaces; and a common authentication setting unit that holds setting information for authentication processing performed by the common authentication processing unit. If user authentication which is based on the setting information held by the common authentication setting unit is successfully performed by the common authentication processing unit on the basis of the user information which has been input via an authentication screen of one of the plurality of user interfaces, user authentication is performed by the authentication processing unit on the basis of the setting information for the user interface which is held in the authentication setting unit.
