To solve the problem of its being not easy to find and view information to know or information to see from a TV broadcasting, so that channels being broadcasted are simultaneously displayed by division on a screen or the pieces of information are found by changing-over the channels multiple number of times in the conventional technology.

Information to know or information to see is displayed by analyzing and retrieving the broadcasting contents of all the channels being received or information on a communication line, by inputting and designating the character string, video and voice of a word (keyword) and depressing a 'retrieval' key. Thus a retrieval result is displayed and utilized for timer video- recording setting in a video recorder not only by retrieving information to be retrieved in real-time but also by adopting broadcasting schedule information on the communication line for originating information related to the broadcasting contents as a retrieval object.
