This information providing device loaded on a vehicle, for providing information to a driver includes: a final providing spot determination means for determining corresponding to the content of information, a final providing spot which is a spot where the information is to be provided finally; a section state determination means for determining whether or not there is an anticipated section wherein it is anticipated that the state of own vehicle is fit to a previously set condition determined previously, between the final providing spot and the position of own vehicle at the present time; an own vehicle state determination means for determining whether or not the state of own vehicle is fit to the previously set condition, when determined that there is an anticipated section; and an information providing means for providing information when the state of own vehicle is fit to the previously set condition within the anticipated section, or after the anticipated section.
