The information-providing system 1a for solving the problem acquires information on facilities, which conduct electric power-supplying service, via a network 2a, and provides a searcher, who retrieves the facilities, with the information concerned via the network 2a. In this case, the system 1a includes an information-acquiring means which acquires, from the facilities, the information on the facilities via the network 2a, a retrieval conditions-acquiring means which acquires, from the searcher, retrieval conditions used by the searcher, who retrieves the facilities, via the network 2a, a retrieval means which retrieves the facilities, which conform to the information acquired by the retrieval conditions-acquiring means, from the information acquired by the information-acquiring means, and a providing means which provides, via the network 2a, the searcher with the information on the facilities which is retrieved by the retrieval means.
