Abstract:
PURPOSE:To correct a recording error, which is caused by the dirt, etc., of a recording medium, and to decrease the number of recording re-testing by executing the increase and decrease of a time width for a recording information signal and executing the correction of information. CONSTITUTION:At the time of information recording operation, a host computer 12 sets the recording information and transfers the recording information to an optical disk device 11 and the recording of the information is executed. At such a time, the recording information signal from a modulating and demodulating circuit 13 goes to be the input signal of a waveform correcting circuit 16. The computer 12 controls selectors 27 and 28 according to a shaping constant which is set in preceding information recording processing. The recording information signal, for which the time width is increased or decreased only by quantity to be determined by this shaping constant, is supplied to an optical pick-up and the information recording is executed to an optical disk 15.
