PURPOSE: To facilitate copying operation in intermediate frame feeding operation without using any connecting device such as an interface by providing a retrieving which has an intermediate frame feeding function with a means which presses the copy start button of a reader printer to which the retrieving device is fitted.

CONSTITUTION: When a microfische F is set between glass plates g1 and g2 and image frames of the microfische F are retrieved intermittently in order, an intermediate retrieval key is operated. When an intermediate retrieval signal 49 goes up to H, L is inputted to one terminal of a OR circuit 46 through a NOT circuit 47, but the output 50 of a comparator 38 is also L, so a reset signal 51 as the output of the OR circuit 46 goes down to L. A counter 36 begins to counting pulses from a reference oscillation circuit 35. At his time, the output of the comparator 38 is L, so one input of an AND circuit 44 becomes H through a NOT circuit 48.
