Title:
INGOT MOLD DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05154610
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce consumption of sand by surrounding runner bricks with a buffering support material and holding the buffering support material with a holding member composed of heat resistant metal member.

CONSTITUTION: A sprue bottom part 1, runner part 3 and molten metal rising-up hole part 5 are formed with a sprue bottom brick 1, runner bricks 5 and molten metal rising-up hole brick 5, respectively. The runner brick 3 is made to tublar and both ends thereof are fitted with the runner brick 3 and the molten metal rising-up hole brick 5 and formed such as piping. On a bottom plate 7 at the position just above the molten metal rising-up hole part 5, an ingot case 10 is laid. In an ingot mold device composed in such way, the runner bricks 3 are surrounded with the buffering support material 11. Then, the buffering support material 11 is held with a holding member composed of a heat resistant metal member. Cross sectional shape of the holding member is made to almost the similar shape of the runner bricks and the buffering support member is made of granular refractory, refractory whisker or inorganic fiber. By this method, changing 'work of the runner bricks can be executed in short time.
