Abstract:
To obtain an ingot for thermoelectric module, the yield of which can be improved by improving the homogeneity of property distribution by locations, a thermoelectric module, and a method for manufacturing the module.
An ingot for thermoelectric module contains at least two kinds of elements selected from among a group composed of Bi, Sb, Te, and Se and contains a plurality of hexagonal recrystallized grains, with their c-faces being aligned in one direction. In a method for manufacturing the ingot, the row material of the ingot containing at least two kinds of elements selected from among a group composed of Bi, Sb, Te, and Se is extruded and heat-treated in an atmosphere containing hydrogen.
