Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily make an initial excitation by a method wherein an output voltage of a generator is raised by feeding as inputs a voltage set value and a signal in an input circuit which is controlled by a voltage detected value and a lamp function generator to an adjuster of an automatic voltage regulator. CONSTITUTION:Outputs of a voltage setter 6 and a voltage detector 5 are fed as inputs to an adjuster 7 of an automatic voltage regulator of a synchronous generator 1, and also outputs of an input circuit formed of an auxiliary setter 9, a lamp function generator 10 and a switch 11 are connected thereto. After the generator voltage has been setted as high as 30% with a switch 12 for initially exciting being closed, the switch 11 is turned on to increase the output of the lamp function generator 10 to allow it to come near the value set by the auxiliary setter 9, and the set value of the adjuster 7 is raised to increase the output voltage of the generator. Accordingly, even a generator whose field voltage is high comparing with the voltage of a battery 14, can easily make the initial excitation and an overshoot due to the self-excitation effect can be arrested.
