To be able to easily remove dirt sticking to the interior of a heating cylinder following the operation of an injection molding machine.
This injection molding machine 1, employed for injecting a molten resin into a cavity of a clamped mold from an injection nozzle 11 fitted to the apex of the heating cylinder 10, comprises a tubular heating cylinder 10, a screw 12 arranged inside the heating cylinder 10, a support member 13 for rotatably supporting the screw 12, a rotary drive means which rotates the screw 12 supported by the support member 13 at the time of performing the process to measure a molten resin, and a forward/backward drive means which moves the screw 12 forward in order to inject the molten resin into the cavity from the injection nozzle 11 as an injection process after ending the measuring process. Further, a cleaning bar 20 with a wire brush 21 fitted to the outer circumference, is installed in lieu of the screw 12. Thus the wire brush 21 is rotated by an operation during the measuring process and the injection process to clean the interior of the heating cylinder 10.
