Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To spark-advance control with favourable responsibility at target injection starting time concerning an injection timing control device of an electronically controlled diesel engine to carry out injection starting timing control by using a hydraulic timer.
SOLUTION: This injection timing control device is furnished with a timer piston 28 energized in the timing lag direction by a timer spring 31 and furnished with a timer 26 to control injection starting time by feed-back controlling the timer piston 28 so that real fuel injection starting time AACT matches target injection starting time ATRG as it is feed-back controlled. In this case, an open loop control means to open-loop control the timer piston 28 to a specified spark-advance position and at the time of starting, the timer piston 28 are open-loop controlled to the maximum spark-advance position (AMAX), and the timer piston 28 is feed-back controlled from the point of time when the target injection starting time ATRG exceeds the real fuel injection starting time AACT.
