To provide ink in which the handwriting by the ink has a property of sufficiently excellent water resistance, hot-water resistance and scratch resistance even when the ink is used for writing on surfaces of glass and pottery, and the handwriting is sufficiently left on the glass product and the pottery even when the glass product and the pottery have been repeatedly washed.

An aqueous ink composition for surfaces of glass and pottery contains acrylic silicone-based resin emulsion, pigment, a dispersant and an aqueous solvent.
