Abstract:
PURPOSE:To always hold the wettability of the interior of a head and to secure printing quality, by bringing the internal structure of an ink tank to a double structure and passing a solution containing a surfactant through the head every time at the time of the replacement of the ink tank. CONSTITUTION:When the finish of ink is confirmed, software for controlling a printer performs display urging the replacement of an ink tank and, next, when the voltage level of a metal contact 9 is the logical L-level of an input IC, it is regarded that a switch is turned ON and a pump is rotated for 10sec to suck an aqueous surfactant solution from a plastic bag 2. When this operation is finished, display urging the ink tank to be further pushed in is performed to allow an ink supply needle 5 to reach an ink pack 1 and, thereafter, when the input from a metal contact 12 is an L-level, the switch is judged to be turned ON and the pump is rotated for 15sec to suck the ink. When the filling of ink is completed, control is returned to usual printer control processing.
