Title:
INK-JET PRINTING INK, INK-JET PRINTING METHOD, AND INK-JET PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006077232
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an ink-jet printing ink securing its high reliability despite being constituted of a combination of a pigment ink with a heating mechanism, to provide an ink-jet printing method using the ink, and to provide an ink-jet printer using the ink.

The ink-jet printing ink comprises a colorant consisting of pigment-based microparticles, a wetting agent, a surfactant, a penetrant and water. This ink is characterized by that the viscosity rising ratio is ≤10 until the water evaporation percentage comes to 30%, there is a point where the viscosity rising ratio exceeds 500 at the water evaporation percentage 30-50%, and the average particle size of the colorant in the ink is double or smaller than the initial average particle size until the water evaporation percentage comes to 30%; wherein the water evaporation percentage(%)=[(initial weight-the weight after water evaporation)/initial weight]×100, and the viscosity rising ratio=(the viscosity after water evaporation)/initial viscosity.
