To provide an ink jet recording head which can discharge ink (liquid drops) in a slantwise direction and has good productivity and processability, and to provide an ink jet printer utilizing the ink jet recording head.
The ink jet recording head has a plurality of nozzles arranged in one direction, and discharge means for ink liquid drops which are formed corresponding to the nozzles, respectively. At least one of the plurality of nozzles has a step in a depthwise direction at the side where ink liquid drops are discharged. An ink level is formed between both ends which form the step, or an inner wall face of the nozzle is treated at the ink liquid drop discharge side by an ink receptivity treatment or an ink repellent treatment asymmetrically to a center axis of the nozzle.
