To provide an ink ribbon supporting device which can guide both an ink ribbon and a winding paper pipe of different widths at respective different positions by a simple constitution and by a simple operation.

A groove part 11 for sliding and a groove part 12 for positioning are formed at a ribbon core 10. Moreover, a projection 21 to be fitted in the groove part 11 and the groove part 12 is formed at a ribbon guide 20. The groove part 11 is formed in an axial direction of the ribbon core 10, and the projection 21 of the ribbon guide 20 is fitted to be slidable in the axial direction of the ribbon core 10 along the guide groove 11. The groove part 12 is formed to extend out at both sides of the groove part 11 in a direction of right angles to the groove part 11. The projection 21 of the ribbon guide 20 is fitted in the groove part 12.
