To provide an ink set for inkjet recording creating a sharp and clear image with suppressed white mist and bleeding at boundaries between color ink and black ink even when a time difference between application of one ink and application of the other ink is small, and an inkjet recording method using the ink set for inkjet recording.

The ink set for inkjet recording includes the black ink and a plurality of color ink of different colors. The black ink contains a pigment as a coloring material. The color ink having the highest brightness among a plurality of the color ink has the highest surface tension among a plurality of color ink. The difference in surface tension between the black ink and the color ink having the highest brightness is 2 dyn/cm (mN/m) or less. The inkjet recording method using the ink set for inkjet recording is also provided.
