To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive for an optical member, which has excellent antistatic properties, transparency and releasability, gives less contamination to an adherent with an ion etc. and is small in aging deterioration of adhesive force, and to provide an optical member with the pressure-sensitive adhesive.

The pressure-sensitive adhesive for the optical member is composed of (A) a hydrocarbyl (meth)acrylate copolymer having at least one specific quarternary onium-organic acid base on the molecular side chain. The optical member with the pressure-sensitive adhesive, has a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer composed of the pressure-sensitive adhesive on at least a part of at least its either one face.
