To provide an ink sheet wherein the lowering of the density of a coloring material due to thermal decomposition under a high temperature in laser recording hardly occurs, of which the coloring material is decomposed little in the final image when it is used under an indoor fluorescent lamp or natural light or in long-time storage and which attains an image of high accuracy of which the lowering of the density and a change in the hue are little.
In the ink sheet for laser thermal transfer recording having at least a photothermal conversion layer and an ink layer on a substrate, the ink layer contains a quinacridon compound expressed by general formula (1), an anthraquinone compound expressed by general formula (2), or a perylene compound expressed by general formula (3).
