PURPOSE: To obtain an ink supply mechanism which can ensure a stable amount of supply of ink without making use of a local elastic force of an ink supply piece.
CONSTITUTION: An ink supply mechanism so constructed that a rotating body 4 for running which makes an ink ribbon run in one direction is brought into pressure contact with one end of an ink supply piece 1 which is so provided as to project from an ink absorbing-storing part 4. Between the ink absorbingstoring part 2 and the rotating body 4 for running, two ribs supporting the ink supply piece 1 are provided in such a manner that a first rib 5 being near to the rotating body 4 for running is provided on the opposite side to the rotating body 4 for running while a second rib 6 being near to the ink absorbing-storing part 2 is provided on the same side as the rotating body 4 for running.
