To provide an ink supplying device and an ink supplying method for a printer stably supplying ink of an optimum amount by positively suppressing fluctuation of an ink supply amount caused by temperature change of ink by a simple constitution.
The ink supplying device supplies ink with respect to a plate cylinder 3 of the printer, and includes an ink origin roller 6, an ink supplying means having an ink supply source supplying ink to the ink origin roller 6, a plurality of ink rollers for conveying ink to the plate cylinder from a circumferential face of the ink origin roller 6, an ink temperature detecting means 13 for detecting the temperature of ink, and an ink supply amount adjusting means for adjusting an ink supply amount of the ink supplying means on the basis of a detection result of the ink temperature detecting means 13.
