An inking arrangement 1 of a printing machine is provided with a roller 3, the quantity adjusting doctor 11 which can be brought into contact with this roller 3 and is arranged on the ink container 13 and an excluding body 35 which can be displaced for relatively adjusting the level of the printing ink in the ink container 13 to the quantity adjusting doctor 11. The excluding body 35 can be selectively rocked around a rocking shaft 31 existing lower than the bottom face 25 of the ink container as a center in such a way that the level of the printing ink in the ink container 13 is positioned between the first position being higher than the highest point 37 of the quantity adjusting doctor 11 and the second position being lower than the highest point 37.
