Abstract:

To provide an inkjet recorder arranged to perform a process for forming an ink image on the surface of an intermediate transfer body and a process for transferring the ink image to a recording medium simultaneously in which both requirements that the ink image is formed accurately on the surface of the intermediate transfer body and sustained well without being disturbed until it is transferred to the recording medium and that the ink image is transferred efficiently to the recording medium are satisfied.

An ink ejecting section 26 is a full line head ejecting ink to the intermediate transfer body 24 being moved by an intermediate transfer body moving means while keeping the moving speed of the surface of the intermediate transfer body at Vit. Since a carrying means carries the recording medium 21 at a carrying speed Vm (Vit>Vm) and the ink image is transferred at a specified position, the intermediate transfer body can transfer the ink image to the recording medium while performing uniform motion at all times, and the ink image can be transferred without being disturbed.
