Abstract:

To provide an inkjet recording apparatus for determining whether ink is discharged, and to provide a control method of the same.

An inkjet recording apparatus includes: a heating unit 3 configured to produce thermal energy for discharging the ink; and two electrodes which electrically connect with each other through the ink. Voltage is applied between the two electrodes, and a current value flowing through the ink is measured. Whether the ink is discharged is determined by determining whether the current changes when the heating unit 3 is driven.
